BGF has been maintaining steady growth by continuously challenging itself and embracing change in response to the rapidly changing business environment since the group's founding in 2012.
As a ‘Life Network Company’ that provides the best products and services anytime, anywhere and benefits customers' daily lives, we would like to write a new history of Korea's distribution and materials industry.
BGF's retail division, led by CU—the top convenience store chain in Republic of Korea—is spearheading innovation in the retail industry. We aim to deliver not just customer satisfaction but also to inspire and delight our customers. Building on the capabilities we have developed in the domestic K-convenience store market, we are expanding into various countries such as Mongolia, Malaysia, and Kazakhstan. With a network of over 20,000 stores globally, we are emerging as a beloved brand worldwide.
The group's new growth driver, the materials division, is establishing a competitive edge in future high-potential industries. We have developed a diverse business portfolio that spans from eco-friendly and functional plastics to specialty gases, which are key raw materials for semiconductors and secondary batteries. By promoting open innovation such as differentiated technological innovation, omnidirectional investment, and strategic alliances, we are now trying to make a strong leap to the overseas stage beyond Korea.
BGF is also making dedicated efforts to create social value based on sustainable growth. Through the ESG Management Committee, we are implementing a wide range of initiatives across social, environmental, and corporate governance aspects in line with global standards. These efforts have led to tangible achievements, such as being the first in the domestic retail industry to be included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index(DJSI).
Moving forward, BGF will continue to embody its corporate philosophy of "Be Good Friends," striving to be a trusted partner for all stakeholders—including customers, society, shareholders, and employees. We are committed to making every effort as a corporate citizen to enrich the lives of people around the world.
